Bezel option for a 1968 GMT Master

I am considering a purchase 1968 GMT Master Long E.
Two bezels (both red backs) are available as option.
What would you say is more recommended / authentic to the period:
a) The red wine / strong colors
b) The more faded pink one.
Thank you for you opinion / point of view.

Well, I don’t love either. I’d get it with the pink one and then sell it. Pick up a better one.

The first is a distant second choice imo, neither speak to me.

That bezel is also badly worn. The teeth are near gone. No a functional issue, just something to be aware of.

Lastly, what’s the first 3 of the serial?

The left insert is a later service, the right insert is more correct. I concur with above, what is the first three of the serial?

You need a fat font to be correct, fuchsia works too.

Fuchsia works, however ‘fat font’ really came much later.

Fat font doesn't work for late 60s? "much" later? Are you saying Lee's post is incorrect? Only fuchsia works?
