Rolex Datejust2
Hi all,
I guy I know has one of these bad boys: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Men-s-Rolex-...item3a69c75f93 Only his is a face instead of black... I've never seen Rolex make something like that with diamonds not just one the bezel but inside the watch like that (creating an almost double bezel look)... are these not produced by rolex and custom add-on's? Also why are these watches so cheap in comparison to other Rolex's? Thanks for reading. Edit: Another ex. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=....c0.m270.l1313 |

I'm not an expert but that looks like an aftermarket bezel and dial. I also cannot confirm if the watch in your links are authentic. That is not a DJ II.

That's a pretty common aftermarket dial (or maybe Rolex dial with diamonds added). If you want a very sparkly look, this version is much flashier than the standard diamond dial. I'm not a fan of diamonds, but this is a nice look.
Generally, I find that diamonds added at the hour positions on a Rolex dial make for a fairly understated look, and the diamonds make a decent, functional marker. The watch takes on a whole different look as soon as you add a diamond bezel. |
