This is an interesting and personal question for me. I always thought the BLNR was my favorite Rolex watch, and it was the first GMT that I purchased. However, I recently added the Pepsi and WOW, I now get the hype. Perhaps it's just because it's new, but the Pepsi is easily the winner now.

I like both watches but I do prefer the BLNR. Without said I’d pick the Pepsi because I think it’s the more rare and hard to find watch.

BLNR color scheme fits the aesthetic of the new GMT better imo

While acknowledging that market prices and history exist (advantage Pepsi there), I much prefer the BLNR color scheme. If I wasn’t aware of the history of the GMT I think I’d find the ceramic Pepsi colors to be a bit too much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If the 126710 BLNR was harder to get and trading for more on the secondary markets, it would be the favorite. Guaranteed.
That said I agree with others who say the BLNR is a better color scheme for the 126710 with jubilee, but the 5-digit pepsi is the overall winner. I think the blue/black looks better with the flat ceramic bezel, whereas the pepsi colors look better with the deeper looking anodized aluminum bezels. |

The fact that both these watches are rock stars mean Rolex got it right with the direction and design of the new GMT line. That speaks volumes to it’s form and function of its 40mm case. Two identical GMT watches but in different colors to broaden the appeal is brilliant.

I would love to have both one day so it's a bit hard to pick. :)

I feel the only people who say this are people who don't own it. It's just the way ceramic photographs, frankly, like the Hulk.

Offered BLNR multiple times. I chose BLRO. But I wish it came on oyster. I'm not seeing the pink/purple others are complaining about. Both BLNR & BLRO are great choices.

Batman or Pepsi?
Lucky enough to have owned both. The Pepsi is my preference and the one that I will own forever. No pink or purple here.
And, if it's good enough for Philippe Dufour.... |

BatMan if it’s your only Rolex; Pepsi if it’s part of a collection
I have had both, but traded in the BatMan on Oyster for a 116503 MOP, which I found irresistible and scarce in the pre-2019 green & purple hue, not today’s black Tahiti. I rarely wore the BatMan, because I thought I found it boring - half a blue bezel and a blue hand as the only distinguishing features.
When I can, I will buy the BLNR back, because I miss it so much. It is more beautiful than the Pepsi, because the Pepsi’s blue and red are dull and don’t pop in any light, while the blue on the BLNR is bright, a unique shade of blue which pops all the time. But the Pepsi and the Rolex history it symbolises are a large part of the reason so many pleasant people (instead of trolls) are here on this forum. Rolex has been with us all our lives without us really knowing it: the adverts in parents’ magazines, Wimbledon tennis, international airport lounges, High Streets in the intimidating parts of town where all the beautiful people promenade, a charismatic Uncle’s wristwatch. A Pepsi lets you wear all that psychological provenance, that sense of wonder, on your wrist. The BatMan doesn’t. Yet. But in a decade, the BatMan will have that karma. And if karma is the main advantage today for the Pepsi, then the BatMan wins on looks. The Pepsi is not going to improve with time. The BatMan will, as its brighter, playful-yet-respectful look is enhanced by the sedimental accumulation of provenance. My ceramic bezel Pepsi ceramic isn’t the real Pepsi, which has the very different aluminium bezel. Today’s gorgeous Pepsi is a replica, albeit hugely better. But I wouldn’t let it go, ever. I agree with posts favouring the pre-ceramic Pepsi, but I just can‘t like the pre-ceramic bracelet. So I think time will favour the BatMan, but if I had to choose (as I have had to recently), the one I could never part with is the Pepsi - but only because I’m a collector (and I’m a collector because Rolex makes me think about things like self-reliant decency, honesty and responsible gratification in an increasingly self-indulgent world - but ignore that). If it’s your only watch, buy the BatMan, because the look of a daily wearer is as important as the symbolism. If it’s part of a collection of three or more, buy the Pepsi, because its symbolism is so rich. |

Zero luck getting Pepsi / Batgirl from AD.
These are as close as I can get to scratch my itch till I get the real deal. $75 and no waitlist. I know some people are against buying these clocks, but they are so nice. . . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
