Be wary of the seller ‘tcheeco’
2 months ago I purchased a white rubber Audemars Piguet strap for my ROO.
It was described as ‘Mint’ condition. It arrived and it is in very very poor condition with one ended having been split and glued back together. The seller will not respond to my emails and private messages. Here is a link to his sales thread: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=580352 And here are pictures of the actual strap: Could one of the moderators reach out to the seller of please? I am £130 out of pocket. Thank you, Gary

PM sent, seller hasn’t been online since 4/7. Requested that he either answer you in this thread or by PM.

And as I told you by PM, you gave me a negative feedback just because somebody said you sold him through eBay a strap you didn’t ‘inspect’ when you got it from me? Damn, have you ever think that the Australian buyer is not showing you the same strap he got from you? Why do think I scammed you because I didn’t reply to your PMs? The strap you’re showing is not the strap you got from me, end of the story.
I’m aware of scamming people, we're talking about 200$ strap, buddy, I don’t need that kind of shit for my reputation. The strap I sold him was mint unglued |

You should be ashamed about yourself, buddy. You send the 1st PM to inform about that on 13/04 and on 16/04 (just 3 days after) you PM me “I have had no option but to ‘out’ you in the watch out section!” It seemed to you that I run away after the century deal, after I stole $100 million, lol. I can’t understand what you had in your mind

Yeah - I saw that when I went back to the seller’s listing. I think the OP would have noticed the alleged defect immediately... I can’t tell from the OP’s pics if he took those photo’s recently or 2 months ago - but a more resourceful TRF reader may be able to inspect the EXIF data? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

This is what the op told me on 13/04, “...I received the white strap from you but by the time it arrived I had sold my AP ROO. I therefore sold it on eBay as per your description of it and to be honest I never inspected it. It was sold to a guy in Australia who received it yesterday and he is returning it to me as it is not mint, it looks like it has been split then glued back together...” |

The only issue I have is in this pic from the original listing; when you zoom in you can see its a bit messed up. It’s possible that it’s the same strap.

Anthony That’s not the strap in question. It’s the white one the OP claims was damaged - and the seller points out it was not damaged when originally sold 2 months ago. Here’s some close ups. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

i know it’s the white one. In the pic I posted you can see a bit of the white strap that shows some damage. Top right corner of the photo

After seeing those pics I agree. Damage is the same shape, size and location. I think it was pre-existing so the OP does have a beef here. The other areas of damage can't be seen from the camera angle.
Can OP post a link to the Ebay listing? Can't find it |

OP should have inspected the good in the first place. This could have been avoided easily.

Since the OP sold it onward via eBay, he had the same burden of diligence that he now wants to hang onto the original seller. For that reason it doesn’t seem fair to tarnish another seller. Methinks the title of this thread should be footnoted with, “by the way, don’t do business with me”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I think this is the same band in question, listed on ebay.

In the original photo, the band looks like it has been worn already.
It appears to me that there is a Bend in the strap and a nick on the side at the third hole. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk |

Really? Because it has the same split that has been glue on the right side of the band.
That would be a very strange coincidence. |

It IS the same strap GUARANTEED. I was away and asked my wife to list the strap on eBay as I’d sold my AP ROO. I said to go on my iMac and save the pictures from his listing on TRF and use those. Well it turns out she took new photos and here they are CLEARLY showing the ‘glue’ mark and confirming it is the exact same strap. Poor poor behaviour he’s denying all responsibility. Please look at the last eBay picture on my listing ... it shows the glued end of the strap
