Unexpected Pickup

So I took my daughter in to my local AD to look at a gift for her BF. We meandered over to the watches and she took a liking to a nice Tissot Chronograph for the boy which she was buying with her hard earned money.

My enabler S A was showing me some of the new Breitling releases as he remembered me talking about a Navitimer at some point. I looked at various Navis when he asked me if I had considered an updated Chronomat. I associate these with the two tone Breitlings reserved for the Duty Free shops of the 1990s and have to say I was shocked at the new modern interpretation of these references. We went from try on to make a deal to throwing the Tissot in for free to fitting to shipping to me out of state in nothing flat. The anticipation of the watch arriving this am has been killing me. Without further ado. I present my Breitling Chromomat B01 Bentley in green. Love the face, love the updated pushers, love the exposition back and especially love the Rouleaux bracelet.

Enjoy the pics. Love this forum!

Congratulations on a beautiful new Breitling.
I had seen one in the flesh at the NYC boutique last month.
Truly stunning in person.

So awesome, congrats! I want the black one so badly. It’s just a matter of time for me.

How’s the comfort of the bracelet? Is there any fine adjusting available in the clasp?

Dchheeta. Unfortunately no fine adjust for the bracelet. It wears very comfortably. Much like a Jubilee on a Rolex. Almost went with the Black...or the Blue...no bad choices. Hope you get yours soon.

Looking sharp. Do you find the thickness of this piece more subtle than the chronometer evo? I know this reference is about 2mm smaller in case size which I really like.

Wow, that looks good. The green dial and invisible clasp looks especially nice, and the bracelet is perfect IMHO.

Breitling (and tudor) in my opinion are the most exciting watch brands of the past couple years. I think the Rolex hype/marketing and fabricated scarcity clouds peoples ability to see what Breitling has been doing. The Navi reissue, navi's, Mosquito, chronomat, etc... are fantastically compelling watches. People get hyped about the daytona and even the speedy, but I dont think people realize that Breitling was doing chronos long before most brands out there.

Hi Boogiebot-i like the overall thickness. Cant compare to the reference you mentioned. Proportionately for my 7.1" wrist , the watch is a great diameter and height.

Hi Spartacus-Check one out if you get the chance; but be warned!

Hi-Chester01-I've been too caught up in the Rolex hype. I think I have most everything I want in the Rolex catalog for now barring a PM purchase so I will likely focus on Breitling for my next couple of acquisitions.

Hi Redmonds214-Thanks!

Thanks for the info! You're right, the blue one is cool too, but then so is the white...

Congrats! I can't wait to see one in flesh of the AD would have this green dial in.
