What do you collect (beyond watches and cars)?

Those are cool! My dad had a couple of very old, VERY heavy ones when I was growing up.... I can still picture them on his tool bench. I'm thinking that, when we sold the house in Michigan and moved to Florida, he probably left them sitting on his tool bench.

I’m in my 20’s, my friends are all about computers, phones etc. I’m in to that too, but I really love gadgets which don’t require electricity. Don’t know why, just find them so relaxing and beautiful to see true craftsmanship.

Things that I include in this is my watch collection, fountain pens, zippo, Swiss pen knife, safety razor, leather belts, leather shoes, gold coins....

I’m wanting to get into fishing golf and cycling in the next few years too.

But my watches are my pride and joy, and take up most of my heart and bank account.

Vintage 80s arcade games. Original cabinets with new guts. I’ve got space for 5 in my game room. Galaga, Centipede, Asteroids, Missile Command and Zaxxon right now. Trying to switch out Zaxxon for Tempest or something else right now.

I also very recently started collecting Folio Society books. Purchased three, and when they arrived I was so impressed with the quality that I ordered five more. Far exceeded my high expectations. Great customer service too...my only regret is not discovering them sooner because I missed out of some great limited editions.

On February 27, 1973, the Dark Side of the Moon album was presented to the public for the first time at a press presentation that took place at The London Planetarium.

Members of the press who attended this presentation were given a copy of the LP (matrix: SHVL 804 A-2 G 1 / SHVL 804 B-2 G 1).

Approx 280 were pressed for this advance press release.

These pre date the first pressing and did not include stickers or a poster.

This example is Mint Minus with a virtually unplayed record.

Above is the last 3 vertebrae of a juvenile whale and then in back of the truck is the back of the head and the 11 vertebrae behind it.
the majority of the above picture is the bones of the head of a much larger whale even some of the jaw bone. More vertebrae, some horse bones, sharks teeth and other small fossils.
the above picture is a whale rib bone with feeding damage from a shark.

the round fossil is a shark vertibrae from close to the tail.
above is a arrowhead roughly 3-5,000 yrs old.
the two teeth just above the arrowhead are fossil alligator and croc teeth.

Impressive, is your copy one of the press release examples .If so it’s the first time I’ve seen one & a bit of a grail for me . I only have a run of the mill first UK pressing , but I may get lucky one day & find a press release example .

Have been on the hunt for the 12 page booklet given out to the press as well.

Not even sure any of them still even exist.

Love the shark teeth - quite amazing to think what they've seen!!

I collect vintage Gillette razors and modern shaving brushes. I built quite a large collection and use a vintage Gillette every day.



Much of the thrill is in the chase for particular razors - ones that are new old stock for example. There are certain models that are highly sought after.
