You can put jubilee models 63200 or 63600 (super jubilee) on a 214270 Explorer. They "retail" for about $1550 but they are hard to get, DavidSW sells them for around 3k - sometimes you can get a used one on Ebay for around 1700-2k.

Style-wise, to me not worth the money just for the luxury of making it look more like jewelry (esp if it is the MkII dial). I put mine on a rubber b strap sometimes, but otherwise leave it on an Oyster.

Wear what you dig though, its a killer watch regardless!

thank you...
I think it looks awesome, just spectacular.
HOWEVER, it is close to a 126300... might as well get the complication.

Been wearing this every day since I bought it back in April. I'm starting to understand how someone can be content to wear just one watch their entire life. It has gotten to the point where it just feels odd to wear anything else.

Hi Guys

First post. I’ve just acquired an Explorer 214270 mk 2. An absolutely stunning piece, couldn’t be happier with my choice (I’d love to show you but have to wait until I’ve made 10 posts, apologies).

It’s just under 3 weeks old and the bracelet is squeaking when it swings (when off the wrist). Is this normal? Has anyone else experience this on a practically new, or older, Rolex?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, enjoy that squeak, all new Rolex watches have that familiar squeak! Mine lasted for several weaks I believe.

I thought it might be something to do with the pins/bracelet “bedding in”. Thanks for the reply

Perfect balance to the travel collection. Explorer’s simplicity is its greatest feature. And it survives family adventures.

What a perfect collection! Any thoughts of adding a Sub, 5513 or 14060?

The versatility of my now “one watch collection” is just that: versatile! I’ve really been enjoying the “non-Rolexness” of the Explorer, and on a comfy rubber strap...even more so. The more I wear it, the less I care about owning others.

Of every Rolex I’ve worn (and the number is big) I have to admit the Explorer really is the GADA watch.
For anyone who’s on the fence, I never thought I’d like the explorer 1 but it’s so versatile and under the radar!

If anyone is on the hunt for one. My AD called and let me know they’ll have one in the next couple weeks. PM for details. Will verify you’re not a reseller - not ruining my relationship with my AD
