I had to resign / retire early due to injuries sustained while on the job. After a long haul I was placed on permanent disability status. That drastically reduced my income and still affects me today. However, being at home it allowed me to have ample time to properly raise my daughter who has Asperger’s. She has grown and matured into an amazing young lady and graduates next Spring from College with the highest honors. :)

Had I still been in the workforce my energy and mental health would’ve been greatly affected trying to tend to her needs. There’s no way we both would’ve made it through the pandemic with our sanity intact!

So, I guess things really do turn out the way they do for a reason! We have an amazing relationship which I am grateful for daily.

Brian, you made me google “peckish”
It must be a Canadian expression… lol
