Although I have mostly 40's, I think this 36 looks fine on my 7.5' wrist.

I went to try on the DJ 41, found it to be to big, I have a 6,69 inch wrist, the 36 is much better in my humble opinion.

I am used to wearing larger 44-47mm Panerai watches but every time I try on 36 and 40mm Day Dates, the 36mm classic is the undisputed winner. It just looks better. 40 is stunning in it's own way but as some have mentioned here the proportions just look....different.

My wrist is 7" and flat

Saw this thread come back and thought I would re contribute. I am 6'2, 255 pounds with 7.25 in wrists. Love my 36mm day date. Below is a photo I took a couple of weeks aqo for a fun thread I posted here stating the 36 works for a big guy like me. I think it has plenty of wrist presence. In any event, whether you think the 36 is too small or not, wear what you love and set your own sense of style.

Great shot. Need more of this type is put the size in perspective.

Most of the shots are such closeups you can't tell the difference between the 36 and the 40.

36mm DD holds its own. It’s a classic and perfect size for the watch. The bracelet adds so much presence as well it’s is honestly a perfect combo. I’m a bigger guy and found it to fit perfectly. The boss Tony Soprano wore one and he was a bigger guy! I have now grown so found of the 36mm my 41 and 42mm watches seem odd and too big now haha.

None of the pics in this thread would make me think the 36mm DD is too small. To me it just looks classy and super elegant. Wear it and enjoy it! I do hope this awful trend for big watches is going into reverse...saw a guy in the city today wearing a watch (couldn't see what make) the size of a side plate. Absolutely hideous...
