Ads while browsing TRF

Did TRF start displaying ads or did I get some kind of virus? There are showing up on the bottom of my screen while scrolling though posts.

Pop up ads

Im getting pop up ads on my iphone while on TRF. Is that a norm now? Last night had trouble getting on the site with Safari, now today the pop ups. Any advice on how to stop them?

Thanks, Tim

Happy it's done with and that a Mod replied to the thread. It would definitely have been nice to have had some forewarning of the event! I'm curious as to what the decision will be regarding doing this to TRF going forward. I know it might cause me to look elsewhere to participate on all things Rolex. I'd think it could cause there to be more competition for the role as leading Rolex web site if thing were to go down this path.

Hmm...happened as I opened this thread. First I have ever seen on TRF. The content wasn't a good match with my interests and buying habits, either!

And I can own my own wedding suit or tux, which is good to know after 28 years of marriage.

It may be this is what Steve needs to do to keep the site out the red. I am sure there will be an announcement at some point regarding this. Either a temporary error or the new normal.

I'd rather pay a little more pledge money than see ads, if that's what it takes.

+2 for that. I am sure many more members would be happy to pay more for an ad free experience.

That's assuming the ads are to offset operating costs and not as a revenue stream.

Absolutely not a fan. Having spent so much time on this site, it’s something I never realized but it’s great not having these ads on here.
