You need to go to a pen store and "test drive" different models to see which ones you like the best. There are many fine brands out there which will fit your needs. Maybe start off with looking at sites on the internet, one good such site would be the Fountain Pen Hospital located in New York city.....

The size of nib needed is entirely reliant on a combination of your preferences, the ink used, and the manufacturer/nib characteristics. Some nibs are 'wetter' than others as are some ink types. You may prefer a thinner line than I do and vise versa. As already stated, going and testing multiple pens dipped in different inks is the best way to decide what nib size is best for you.

Try Amazon...get a Alvin pencil maybe a Lamy fountain pen and when you go to Mont Blanc you'll have those pen strokes down and you can see which nib suits you best!

I've been writing with my 0.5 and 0.7 mm Mont Blanc Meisterstueck mechanical pencils, and I hung up the Alvin ;-).

I use my MB Le Grand pencil all the time (http://world.montblanc.com/products/...tail=true&tab1) as well as my Faber Castell e-motion pencil (http://www.cultpens.com/acatalog/Fab...att-Metal.html) with a 1.4 lead, but one of these might fit the bill for you:
http://www.cultpens.com/acatalog/Fab...n-Pencils.html Faber-Castell's wooden pens and pencils are very nice, and well priced.
