Leather NATO and spring bar issue

Hi all -

Hope everyone is staying well.

I just received a suede/leather NATO from the good folks at StrapsCo. Unfortunately, the space between the spring bars and the case is too narrow/strap is too thick, and does not allow the strap to feed through.

I should’ve taken a picture during installation but I quickly threw it back on the bracelet. You can sort of visualize the spacing issue here:

I tried the thinner spring bars that came with the strap. However, they weren’t wide enough to fit between the holes. Not to mention I would much prefer using higher grade metal spring bars as a best practice.

Has anyone run into this issue before? Open to suggestions on quality aftermarket spring bars that will provide enough space and durability for this particular nato. Keep in mind this is much thicker than a nylon strap.

Cheers all!
Kev

Never used a leather NATO, something tells me the leather band you have is simply too thick for the springbar / head spacing.

Thanks Steven. That certainly seems to be the case. I'm looking for aftermarket springbars that will work around the nato - otherwise I'll probably just give it to a friend. Let me know if you have any aftermarket recs

You need a shoulderless spring bar like the factory Rolex versions but with a thinner middle section. I sell some if you need some. Send me a dm.
