What to look for in a 6263 Daytona?
Hi all,
I'm starting to look for a 6263 Daytona Since I'm quite uneducated in vintage models, I'm wondering what to look for in such a piece? To make it easier, what are the top 3 things I should pay attention to ? Also, I was looking at that listing on Chrono. It seems in ok-condition, but quite cheap to me. What is the price range for ok-condition and great-condition 6263s? https://www.chrono24.com/rolex/dayto...id12354973.htm Thanks for the help gents! |

All correct parts. No scratches or other damage on the dial. All lume plots undamaged.
Imho an average one shouldn’t cost much above 50k. In todays market 60-70k should fetch you a very good one. With money in hand I am sure there are plenty of watches to chose from if you only ask around.

If you want top condition expect
to pay closer to 80-85k for one that’s got a solid case and not over polished, all lume plots, original pushers and quality dial/hands. For pristine condition it will go up to 90-100k+. The one you included does not meet those criteria and is why it’s priced below the entry point of 70-75k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
