^^ the 2012 blend was a rock star ^^ turned out really fantastic. For under US27.00 it’s probably one of my favorite no special reason wines during 2018 early 19
I should get some more, it’s perfect to bring over as a gift for dinner party. I found the last one during an inventory last week. I bet it’s even better now....🤔

Another fresh, characterful Pinot from the Marlborough region of NZ where they make so many wonderful Pinot Noirs.

One of my favorite wineries. We are drinking an 09 Cab Franc from them tonight.

Haven’t had their cab franc yet... How does it compare to their cabs?

‘90 LT was best on the palate. My WOTN.

‘93 LT had an amazing nose, but was less robust on the palate and had a somewhat black olive brine-like finish. A bit of a disappointment, as several at the table said the ‘93 is normally stellar.

‘02 LT being from mag, it was no surprise that it was still primary. Oak was more pronounced, but not in a bad way. This should be stellar in a dozen years.

‘14 Monty is almost explosively ripe and showy. Shared some characteristics with a Rhône Blanc in terms of how unctuous it was on the palate. It really needed a few more hours of air to tone down and come together. For my taste buds, give me a Coche-Dury Corton-Charlie every day instead, and twice on Sundays.

‘00 Dom Perignon P2 is not shown, but what we started out with. Lip puckering acidity with lemon zest and limestone as the dominant note. This too needed more time in the glass, or preferably many years more in a cool, dark cellar.

Considering the tariff this cost being split 6 ways, you missed a very, very expensive call, LL!!!

I bbq at least once a week and I mostly drink Malbec and Chilean Cab and Chilean/Argentinian Cab blends. I also drink a lot of Rioja. During the Fall and Winter I start drinking California Cabs (Clos du Val, Caymus, Far Niente being some of my favorites).
Summer: I like NZ Sauvignon Blancs.

Had a nice lineup last weekend. Some of my favorites for <$100.

Ended up being a light night of drinking - Far Niente ended up back in the fridge and only got 3/4 of the way through Chateau Montelena. Normally with this group we are diving into the fridge for more!
