ALS Lange 1 moon phase
Hi everyone,
I’ve recently been paying a lot of attention to the Lange 1 moon phase with day night indicator. Any opinions on this watch/ negatives or reasons you wouldn’t recommend it. Thanks!

I’m also contemplating this one! Thinking to go Platinum though, I prefer light dials. Tried the black and although very nice I’m probably still drawn to platinum. Very expensive though.

The thing I can say about Lange 1 is that I find them very comfortable on wrist. Totally different to top heavy Datograph.
Like the lume on this model, makes it a little less dressy and more interesting together with the blue. |

The blue is the white gold version right? I am yet to try any on in person, on paper and pictures it just looks an incredible watch.

The blue dial versions was a one year run for 2017 I believe, no moonphase though. I meant the blue pop from the day night indicator/moonphase on this model, looks stunning. |

If I was diving into ALS, this is where I’d start. Love a good moon phase.

That's a beautiful watch and probably my favorite Lange 1 variation.

Don't have anything bad I can think of other than it would be awesome if it was cheaper but that's like everything in life It's a great watch just make sure you negotiate a nice discount since Lange 1s typically don't hold their value too well

One of the best watches on the market, IMO.
(Then again, I am a little biased ) |

I have now almost sold my two dress watches Datograph and Breguet hora mundi and seriously consider L1 Moonphase but can't decide on platinum/silver or WG/black dial.
Buying a new Lange, even with discount, feels like such a definitive purchase compared to grabbing a Rolex that you easily can change out if you don't bond. |

I don‘t understand that people are willing to sell their Langes - particularly as the second hand prices are truely horrible.
Try to get an AP or PP serviced by the factory and compare the turnaround times with ALS, another reason to go with the brand. |

In my case I thought I’d never sell the original Datograph but my tastes have changed and don’t want rose gold any more. Was thinking to upgrade to platinum but the second problem is floppines on the wrist which would only be more with platinum. Have tried on several Lange 1 and they just sit so perfect on the wrist every time. Love Lange watches and no PP dress watch interest me the least except the perpetual calendar with syringe hands and crème dial, but even that.. |

Thanks for the responses guys. You've confirmed what I thought, what a watch. Im torn between the different metals... platinum or WG slightly edging it for me but honestly I don't think there can be a wrong choice!
