Radial dial serial # ?

I'm looking at a radial dial Gmt but the serial # is 3.99 mill is that to low ? from the searching I did on the Essay thread & gmtmaster1675 site they start around 4.2 mill .Everything else seems to check out according to those sites ,it's also a full set with punched papers & original receipts bought in 77

I would be interest to hear what Springer has to say.

I have seen 4.1- 4.39 and low 5s quoted before.....

3.9 million is within the range for a radial dial. As I mentioned in the "essay" thread, I , as well as others, do not agree with the 4.2 million serial number range given for the initial appearance of radial dials from the 1970s.

OK thanks John/Springer that's what I was hoping you'd say ,I did notice you mentioned that in the essay thread ,you just didn't mention how low they might go. So it's incoming full set I'll post pics when I get it
