Rolex Bracelet

Is 14kt / 18kt Gold used for two tones on Rolex bracelets? What I am asking is does Rolex ever use gold plating or yellow metals in place of real gold?

Thank you.

Depending on model ...they use both 14 and 18.

And some Rolexes (VERY few)are gold plated.

Pretty much an exception for every rule...

I don't think Rolex has ever used plating. I seem to recall that there was a period when Rolex used gold-filled or rolled-gold in certain applications.

18k for modern watches and no plating. Not even the white gold.
