Very nice hotel, but way too big for my taste. It has 2561 rooms.

Great for the tourists but it is not so great for the locals as the major roads are blocked off and the jams everywhere during the period were crazy....

For me the F1 that is host yearly cost me a great deal of inconvience as a car driver...

parking was a nitemare too...i do not even want to mention the noise and gas pollution issues...

Yes, I can imagine city traffic is adversely affected by closing various streets used by F1, but I didn't think the traffic was that bad compared to any other large city during normal rush hour.

By the way Ritz Carlton is the most convenient hotel. Literally right next to the track 5 minutes walking distance. Marina Bay Sands is also close by but due to road closure, can't walk to track depending on what F1 tickets you have.

Thanks! Singapore is a great city state. I'm looking forward to racing there again in Sep during F1 weekend. Off to Inner Mongolia for a race this weekend, wonder what that's going to be like.
