For $30K, what are you buying?

The platinum 1908 seems like a great price to me. But admittedly, I haven't recently looked at any dress watches from Patek, VC, or ALS.

$32K for a Tudor makes my head spin. Not ready to consider that. I'm going with the Rolex... which I think it my favorite from today's releases.

Neither at that price but voted 1908 as at least I have a chance at recouping some money back later on a Rolex option. Tudor needs to remember they’re meant to be the affordable option - let’s see £3k watches, not £30k watches.

Many other more appealing options at that price point. But If you make me choose, then it's the 1908 all day long and twice on Sunday!

Neither and it's not even close.
So many watches I'd choose over those with a 30k budget.

I should have chosen my words more carefully. This was meant to be a head-to-head contest between these 2 new releases. I think it’s understood that in reality, many people would choose something other than these two. Either way, I guess neither is a fair response.

Voted for the Tudor. But both from the poll don't sing to me.

It’s strange because I’ve been looking to add a dress watch and was excited to see them last year, but I was underwhelmed (for the price) when I tried it on (black/WG version.
Since my AD also has a Patek boutique I considered the similar Calatrava. Although a much more elegant piece, I passed because it’s not worth $40k to me.

However the Platinum 1908 did get my attention for some reason, even at $30k, so I’m curious to see it on the wrist (most likely won’t see these in boutiques until November if last year is any indication)…

They’re both nice. I think the platinum 1908 is Rolex best release this year. But I would get the Full gold BB58

The price differential from Rolex to Tudor on the new gold BB58 makes no sense at all.

If I had no choice and it is just between those two it’d be the 1908.

Neither. Not into dress watches and not buying a full gold tudor.

Not a huge fan of the blue on the 1908 so I'd go for the BB58

Neither. But if I had to pick one, the 1908. I would never spend that much on a Tudor.

So far, it's a spanking. Close to 9 out of 10 prefer the 1908.

I think the Tudor is a great looking watch, but I’d definitely choose the 1908.
