Explora...
I have tried searching for "explora" but not much success. It's my father's watch that has been in the drawer for 40 years. I got it back from a jeweller who put a new movement in it. It has an off-white face with the number 12. No other numbers. I can attach a picture if that would help. Anybody got any info or links regarding the EXPLORA?
Thank you. |

Pics are necessary. Are you sure it does not say Explorer?

I think you're after the Rolex EXPLORER.

If it is a white dial Explorer, depending on which one, they can be quite rare. Putting in a new movement will gut the value however. This is never a good idea on a vintage piece without expert guidance.
It would have been best to consult folks here first. Post some pictures please

Maybe 'Explora' is what you find when you search in drawers that haven't been opened in 40 years???

Must be quite a dial " It has an off-white face with the number 12. No other numbers" . . .
Even more rare than the white Dial GMT . . . But we probably will never see a pic I guess HAGWe |
