This cannot compare with the magnificant scenes just on this page alone, but it is a little 'domestic' view of an "easement" that I walk up every morning for my morning walk.
An "easement" is a publicly-owned piece of land provided to give access to the public - usually between two streets.
This one has been maintained by myself and the neighbouring property owner for no reason other than that we could. The photo doesn't do it justice.

Nature is often synonymous with colour, but it's actually the form and texture that I find fascinating in photographs (and the light, of course). Black & white tends to emphasise those things a little more than colour..

Last month, I stumbled across this beautiful Fallow Deer and her fairly, newborn fawn.
I very slowly eased back, so as not to disturb her more than I already had. Took my photo' and retreated further away, watching them through my bin's. She relaxed after a while and the fawn eventually got unsteadily to its feet. The little beauty then suckled for a while. They then, slowly, wandered off into the sunlight.
Made my day!
