When asked if my wife was my daughter, and my son was my grandson. I haven't had a primary physician in about 35 years. I found myself needing to establish a relationship with one recently. I have a date with him next Tuesday to address several issues. His secretary asked me what I needed, I told her "a complete overhaul." Keep your fingers crossed.

When I had to make the decision to kick my ex wife out of my life to make sure I can stay sane and healthy to be there for my 2 year old son at the time. Broke my heart at first to tear my son from his mother but in the long run it is better for him. I was 27 at the time. 28 now and I feel like im 45.

Around 9.

I got my own key to my house and my dad's car, did my own laundry and cooking before my parents were home from work.

Early 30's I started thinking and acting different in many ways. Got married. Party over....50's now Still do not feel old. Workout everyday, eat fairly healthy, feel good. BUT...wear readers, have arthritis, get up at 4am, stuff "old people" do.

Literally the day I turned 40.
Woke up and could barely get out of bed, my back hurt so much.
For my 50th birthday, the doctor has told me I need new knees.

When I no longer got excited about the newest Mac OS (or iPhone) upgrade and “just wanted things to work” (and stay the same).

It makes me appreciate more the reason why when I was a kid and messed up the computer that my dad was not very understanding.

Apparently I got old last Thursday. Was having my breakfast at 12,600 ft when two twenty something hikers hit the summit and said, “Good morning SIR, did you really get up here by yourself?”

Kids these days!

That makes sense. I can't say I enjoy working out or drinking less or having two cheeseburgers instead of three but if I don't keep weight under control that will happen 100% of times instead of the usual 95%.

My neighbor is 94, works full time, and drives to work. She’s so sharp, and loves to tell jokes. Goes out on weekends with the “Boys” as she calls it. She walks up and down the block for about 30, three times a day. I’m half way there, so I have a ways to go before I think about feeling old,

Age 40-50: it is still possible to make gains in physical fitness, strength and muscle mass. Probably the peak of mental ability.

Age 50-60: the goal is to maintain the level of fitness you’ve reached with hard work and discipline.

Age 60-70: it’s like falling off a cliff physically. Vision, hearing, balance, strength, muscle mass, memory, cognitive ability, endurance and overall fitness decline no matter how hard you try. Physically, my least favorite decade so far.

You're probably right. The key is to try hard to be an exception but it is what it is.

Wow, that’s some great images. That’s one place I wouldn’t mind spending time. Very peaceful, and relaxing.

Question, did the two twenty something offer you help on the way down? Lol, kids these days.

I’m turning 52 in a few weeks and I still feel good. I think the key is to stay active. I try and workout at least twice a week and have a nice run or go for a long walk on another day.

However I know I’m getting older because I no longer fear death. I’m more scared for my wife and children and as long as I go before them I’m at peace.

I share the same sentiment. However, I’m still a weekend warrior, with lots of Ice packs, and icy hot waiting for me when I get home.
