Question on Rolex service records

I had my DJ serviced in 1996 at the Dallas RSC. (Water incursion from bathing kids with crown unscrewed- Oops). Anyway, I had it serviced again last year at an AD. During my chat with the watchmaker, he pointed out it had been serviced in 1996. Does/did Rolex mark the cases after service? I would assume now it’s computerized. Are the AD’s privy to the service records done by Rolex and are the AD service entries made in the same database?

Most watchmakers make a mark of theirs, with date, in the caseback for reference.

Don't tell us that an unscrewed crown leaked.

OMG, and here we all were drinking all the koolaid and diving and swimming and waterskiing and everything with our crowns I'm screwed thinking it's all good to at least 100 metres depth.
And here I was today water blasting and scraping the bottom of my boat before I Anti-fowled it again tomorrow

That's it I'm screwing mine back in straight away.
How about the rest of you guys?

I assumed it was the crown. I actually don’t know for sure. I just know water was in there and the crown was unscrewed.
