I don't see it on the full PM pieces but it would be a huge boost for two-tone Daytonas like someone said above. I would love an Everose TT black dial ceramic Daytona.

I love the gold bezel on my 116519. There is something regal and timeless about it. Having said that, I think the ceramic bezels are wonderful because of their durability. And they look absolutely stunning on the 116500.

This is funny. People rejoice when a watchmaker uses one of the cheapest materials known to man (ceramic) instead of platinum. Gold or, steel (yes even steel is more expensive than ceramic)

I don't own a PM daytona now. However, I really like the look of the gold/white gold models now and do not think the ceramic would add anything to them. In fact, as they are gold/white gold now, seems like ceramic is a step down.

The Daytona has the most number of iterations compared to other professional models. It wouldn’t be a surprise if they release a full wg, yg or rg with ceramic bezel, along with new dials exclusive for these variants.

I think the ceramic makes it look bigger but PM bezel shows more PM

I saw the Black ceramic Daytona on Oysterflex and the whole thing looked so black that I was happy that I had the PM bezel and the PM bracelet

Now on SS Daytona And like Lee’s Platona, I think the ceramic bezel goes well with PM or SS Bracelet

And a price of SS is probably going to be even higher than now, it is still rising. So if SS is trading at 30k grey, it would make sense to just go for WG if it is 40k. That's the smallest gap between SS and PM. So some of the clients will get WG. Rolex will make money on those customers.

About time imho.

A full PM Daytona with ceramic bezel is what many have been waiting for. Its just so much better to handle scratches from daily wear.

If SS trades at $30k your amount of buyers goes down very very dramatically. Even at todays price of $22k for a white dialed SS Daytona buyers at that price point is far and in between.

$22k for a watch is no joke. Big big money for a watch to be strapped onto your wrist.

i suspect the majority prefer ceramic. Nothing wrong with non ceramic. I prefer it on an ExplorerII for example.

Something about a non ceramic daytona bezel makes it look dated. Even if its new it gives you a vibe of being of a different era. Ceramic looks modern so i guess it also depends on what you are going for

Looks like those who want a ceramic bezel on a pm daytona with bracelet will have to wait for another year or more. No updates today.

Looking at the web site after the Basel release, it didn’t happen! Bezels on full PM except PT are not ceramic

I'm not so sure I agree, Tyler.

From our point of view, it is the next logical step. Or if Rolex were like other "normal" companies. But, they're not. Far from it. I envision Rolex saying "no ceramic for you." (in my best soup nazi voice.)

From their point of view, they have their Daytona line very strategically positioned. If you want a PM bracelet Daytona, then there is only one way to go. I don't think that's accidental.

I'm not saying it won't happen; I just wouldn't bet the farm on inevitable.

Gold bezel is more luxurious and gives the watch that ‘jewellery’ feel. The gold bezel is ideal for a luxury piece of jewellery which is exactly why my wife likes it. I really don’t think they will get rid of gold bezel any time soon. This reference was only launched a couple of years ago anyway with the updated bezel.

The older bezel she had before did look more ‘dated’ as you say, though I actually liked it. I don’t think the current watch looks at all dated, even compared to a ceramic bezel. The ceramic bezel is just more sporty and potentially more masculine. I really don’t think the full yellow gold or rose gold Daytona would look nearly as good with the ceramic bezel myself. The ceramic bezel works well on Platona of course, so perhaps on White Gold it would be nice to have the option. But white metal watches are already less jewellery oriented than the yellow and rose gold variants and look more sporty to start - even with diamond dials.

Beauty! I think a lot of gold buyers would prefer gold bezel than ceramic. I wonder how many people who ‘would buy one if it had a ceramic bezel’ would actually put the cash on the table if rolex launches it.

It would be a no go for me with a ceramic bezel. It wears well on the OF black band but not on a PM band Imo. I agree that it’s not a “logical” next step for Rolex but would be for another company who would simultaneously sell the PM’s with both PM bezels and ceramic bezels to capture all buyers.

What about a ceramic bezel that matches the yellow gold? I would consider this as it would provide durability and a clean monochromatic look.

I prefer a non ceramic bezel for PM Daytonas on bracelet. So much nicer and way more elegant, IMO

Think the ceramic makes it way too sporty and lends itself well to the oysterflex
