50th Anniversary 37mm Bleu Nuit Nuage Dial

I don’t know how or why it happened, but it did. Earlier in January I was told any 50th Anniversary models would be impossible to come by because of high demand for these specific models. Earlier this month I get an unexpected text if I would be interested in a 37mm blue , and I just thought maybe they are just asking or allocating for the following year. Upon inquiring further, I jokingly asked without any high expectations that I was interested but curious if they had one available right now, and I got a reply right away that it is.

Now I’ve been chasing a blue dial 37mm since maybe the later parts of 2019. I did have some bad experiences with AP along the journey to try to get one. Yes I was pissed off and frustrated but after months of telling myself maybe it’s not worth all the hassle, I would just let this thought sit on the back burner. But I really didn’t want to spoil one negative experience with an AD to define my story. So I gathered myself and started working with a new AD out of state. This time the experience was completely opposite. Very honest, comforting and professional. I had to remind myself these guys are humans too, they have the same emotions as us. Fast forward to today and I’m totally in love with this timepiece. One thing my SA told me which truly touched my heart was that “they are confident this watch has reached its final home”
That responsibility and trust means so much to me and I’m truly blessed and grateful to be a part of the AP family.

Compared to the older version of 37mm , I prefer the removal of the text “Automatic” , I think 37mm is the right amount of size to make it look minimalistic. The play of light is spectacular and the best part is the bracelet. Correct me if im wrong but the first four links are in the shape of a trapezoid which makes the bracelet sit very well ergonomically on the wrist. The “50 years” oscillating weight is beautiful in person, I was not a fan when they released it but in hand it gives you a whole different satisfaction.

That looks great, congrats on it! Any side profile pics on the wrist you can share? Just curious to see how this looks compared to the prev gen 37mm on height.

Looks amazing on your wrist. I’m desperately hoping praying to get this exact model for my 40th in June. Wear it in the best of health
