Is the Blue TT sub easier to get than Hulk?

I wanted the Hulk, but it appears inventory is dry worldwide. I’m ok paying a little more for the blue two tone sub. Is that one easier to find? Specifically in Paris and Nice. Thanks

Not sure about specifically in the French cities you quote but YES is the answer .

In UK AD's there are usually 2 tones a plenty ( Sub , GMT , Daytona ) in windows ready for purchase

Yes it is much easier to find but I would wait and get the one I wanted.

Not certain, but I would choose the bluesy over the hulk.

Much easier, I'm sure many ADs can find you one in a month or two.

I can get a Bluesy any day of the week at my local AD. Well not Monday. They are closed on Monday's. They get a Hulk about twice a year and it is of course gone right away. I had first dibs on one recently and passed. I loved it, but I just picked up a GMT a couple months earlier and wasn't ready financially to grab it. Both are stunning but the Bluesy is much easier to find, at least in the US.

I can only speak for my part of the UK. Green is unobtainable and no Ad will waitlist me. TT Blue is 8-12 months. I'm 5th on the list. I've heard that in London there are TT Subs available to buy.

If you pay a little more you can find one on the forums, for the price of a two tone

For those in London, which specific AD has the bluesy in stock? I may just take a train to London just to do a day trip and purchase there since it is cheaper than France. Thanks. I am leaving from SF in a few days

Blue Sub TT is MUCH easier to source than a Hulk.

In fact despite their RRP price being almost £4000 apart, their grey market price is actually similar as TT sub is soft and HULK is strong just now.

Would it be ok to ask an AD for a discount for blue TT sub since it’s not in high demand?

The Hulk is becoming legendary.

Rightfully so.

I own both. The Bluesy is significantly easier to get. So much so that I would say its like any other widely available TT Rolex you can get a good discount anytime anywhere. The Hulk is a completely different animal. Its extremely rare to find and waiting list are so long that many AD wont take names anymore. That puts it in a few years waiting time for many. I have since traded the Bluesy in for the Hulk in my collection as I was moving away from TT watches. The Bluesy is a flashy nice watch but the LVc is a modern Rolex legend with only its popularity only going up. If it matters, resale value on the Bluesy is typical TT Rolex (average) where the SS LVc resale value is rising each day (excellent).

The Hulk is a rockstar.

I was looking for a Hulk and went in just to see one at my AD (it was already spoken for, sorry to say) . In the case was a bluesy. My wife looked at both and said "I like the blue one." So I walked out with a bluesy on my wrist. Obviously easier to get, at least at my AD...

You sure about that?

It's actually the one exception to the rule. The 116613LB holds it's value better than any other TT. (In the UK) buy new at an AD for £9900 with no hope of any discount (if you can find one), or buy used for £9000-£10,500. A grey will buy it from you for £8000. Granted, they are not that hard to get.. but resale is strong.

Agree w posters above, but you would be surprised at TT blue sub resale recently. They sell close to retail for new, and 11k+ preowned mint. This wasnt the case last year. AD discounts are scarce on this one.

I think you should settle for Bluesy. We all need a Rolex as a life necessity so it's best to get in now rather than to go without for a few months.

Yea, I just traded in a mint condition Bluesy last year to a trusted seller. I did call around and research what my watch was worth with in my watch dealer connections. It lost more money (percentage) than if it were a SS Sub of the same condition. It is what it is and I don’t really buy a watch for what it’s resale value is. I have learned over the few decades of Rolex ownership if resale value was my priority, SS is by far the highest accross every model line.

Point of interest: 20 years ago a solid 18K Bluesy sold for about the same as it does today.

If you like a green watch , which I don’t really ...
Legendary after about 30 years like the Bluesy would sound about right .
Still trying to wrap my thoughts around a fully green watch .
IMHO , Blue is more versatile... again one mans opinion.

I’d get the Bluesy and don’t look back ...

Why would they not sell to foreigners? Would I have same treatment as an American in France?

The Bluesy aint that easy to get now.

In Australia all the grays are selling these over MSRP now. I picked mine up for over 15% discount only a few years ago.

You wont find a single one for under MSRP in Australia even at grays for a new one.

Very easy to get in NYC. They had both a blue and black TT Sub at London’s at the Oculus about 2 weeks ago. No gold sub except for this beauty. But I think I would rather buy a ceramic gold sub and the price of this serti was on the high end even though it had box and papers. Sorry for the picture. They had their pre-owned stuff wrapped with plastic. Still a gorgeous watch imo but a little much for $23k when many nice examples can be had even under 20.
