Absolutely not. And I like IWC and Pilot watches. But this is not in the ballpark for value. Just save up for a regular IWC Big Pilot 43 and call it a day. I’m rooting for Red Bull and Ferrari over Mercedes anyway….

The IWC is pretty easy to get for retail - just visit your local IWC boutique and ask. I did the same (albeit with some purchase history), but didn't get the impression it was hard to get.

For people like me who have waited months on their Sub, this post is so painful :)
Can you not get the IWC without trading in the Sub? |

I would never do that trade! In fact I would never trade a Rolex for an IWC!

Congrats, awesome you were able to keep the sub and add the IWC. How long did you have to wait after putting your name on the list to get it?

Fun combo you have there. Congratulations on growing your collection.
Personally I find nothing wrong with a little change, had you traded. My only concern would be if the 14060m has sentimental value that you may regret selling in the future? Besides that, life is too short. There is no right or wrong here, so do what you want and don't hesitate.

Glad you were able to keep the Sub. I can’t help but think from your original post, it’s place in the collection is shaky at best.

I kick myself once a day for not buying a like new 14060M in 2010 for $4k here on the forum. At that time it was one hell of a value / for the money.
Now around $9k at resale I do not find it to be a compelling value and think the Tudor Black Bay 58 is the king of Sub $4k watches. With that being said if I owned a 14060M it would not go anywhere.

Yeah, spot on, especially now that I also picked up the BB54. Just know I'll regret parting with it and will one day appreciate that I've kept it (not financially, just know I'll come to appreciate the piece even more).

I'll join the crowd and tell you that I wouldn't do it. You have a Rolex that is a classic, but only you can make the decision.

As a fan of the Mercedes-AMG F1 team, I think that IWC is a fun addition to your collection, congrats!
