How soon will an AP RO limited edition be sold out?

Hi guys, understand the 34mm Ceramic Carolina Bucci edition came out around May/June this year. Was wondering how soon will AP sell out the 300 pieces? Seems people still getting it in August depending on where they located.

Does anyone know what is usually the strategy AP usually deal with these limited pieces? Just trying to figure out if still have a chance to get one later this year.

Thank you very much for the insights in advance.

Let’s put it this way, because they only make roughly 20,000 royal oak (across all references) per year, getting any watch in mens size is already very difficult.

The limited edition are basically spoken for as soon they are announced. Each boutique would get 1-3 pieces depending on the watch. And will go to VIP client.

It's unlikely that all 300 will be delivered this year. Historically limited production pieces are manufactured over a certain period of time, they certainly haven't been stock piled awaiting delivery in one tranche.

In my view the final Bucci pieces won't be delivered until late next year at the earliest. Until they are delivered to a customer then they are 'available'. Pledges/promises/hints from a sales associate is never a done deal until the watch is in hand. Equally 'interest' from a potential customer is subject to that person's circumstances or satisfaction from an alternative model etc. and that 'allocation' may not be taken up.

This year maybe a little different due to the 50th pieces and AP 'may' have had a few more stockpiled than usual, but I even doubt that.

To have a better understanding as to what is likely the best indicator is the past.

If you have a good existing relationship with AP then you should ask this same question to AP directly. If you don't yet have that AP relationship then unfortunately you essentially have no chance.

LEs are effectively sold out upon announcement.

We switched our request from a "regular" 77350CE to the Bucci edition on May 31, as soon as we saw the first pictures on IG, before it appeared on the AP webpage and the various watch blogs. Boutique said they would try (which is usually a good sign). Picked up in early August - I understand it was at least the 2nd they delivered.

While they are certainly still being delivered, I was told by one SA (not at my usual boutique) that they are all spoken for. I assume that some of these allocations could still be switched, if a more worthy client came along.

Everything has a price, though most if not all will go to VIP clients.

Where did you get that 20k estimate? They are making 55k this year total (50k annual run rate + 10% increase per Francois). So they are making 35k across code and ROO combined? Sounds too high for those lines

Mid- to high 20k was mentioned as number of 50th anniversary pieces in some interviews. The rest would be non-anniversary ROs, ROOs and CODEs (and a few concepts), with many more ROOs than CODEs.

From my SA who got me a 50th green khaki ROC within 6 months of me first walking into the boutique. I trust his info.

I’ll be getting one next month… so they are still producing them and they are available.

Thank you very much. I do hv an existing relationship with one of my local boutiques. My SA is helping me try to get that and I wish I can get some luck.

A quick check of mrN's post history might suggest that this data point will not have much relevance to most people.

Thank you. Are you in HK and is it from the AP house or the IFC boutique?
