Buried with a Rolex and grave robbers

Is it safe?! To be laid to rest with your Rolex as long as it's not in Europe or NYC?

TRF members have Navy Seal and MI6 training, and the situational awareness that comes with it. That doesn’t leave your muscle memory just because “experts” have declared you “deceased”

Don't forget California. The gangs there are using their drones to mass XRAY cemeteries. They couple that with AI stolen from Silicon Valley companies to identify the actual watches as they only want the ones worth selling. Hate to dig just to get a "Poor Mans Rolex" err.. I mean a Tudor..

Sweet.. CA hate, mentioned gangs, and managed to throw in a punch at Tudor.

Do I get a triple word score?

I find it hard to believe that someone would be buried with their Rolex with no loved one to will it to but I’ve heard stranger. Back in the 50’s or 60’s I recall a story of a woman buried in her Ferrari.
No I wouldn’t even trust the morticians or grave yard crew. Wasn’t long a ago a doctor in an emergency room took the Rolex off a patient and hid it outside the hospital and took it home after his shift. He was caught with the help of a security camera.
Trust no one you don’t know and those you do know only when you trust them emphatically. These are lean times and low lives abound.

I'd just go with your G-Shock.

I'm planning on getting my watch collection melted down and will embalm my body with the alloy that's created.

I would bloody love to see a grave robber dig me up without requiring a JCB.

IBTL:

I think the safety of my Rolex would be the least of my problem in such a case. Of course if something could bother me at all.

I told the wife that I want to be buried with all of mine.

She said she will take pictures and ensure they are all in my coat pocket.

I want my Turbo S to be my casket.

I’ll just keep my watches in the glovebox for safe keeping.

Sure, your kids will promise you anything you ask.

The contract becomes null upon death. At that point, all bets are off.

Is it safe to wear your Rolex while you are dead?

If he reads TRF, Hans Wilsdorf is probably turning in his grave often enough for that not to be an issue.

Easy.

I can build you a custom casket winder.

You will require two adjacent plots.

Where I live I see grave robbers all the time. I once asked them "What are you looking for?". They said that primaly Subs, GMT's and Daytonas. They said they just found a Milgauss but threw that away. They were fine gentlemen and both were wearing amazing timepieces: gorgeous 5-digit sub with patina (buried for 30 years) and amazing vintage 1675 GMT (pepsi).

Buried with a Rolex and grave robbers

I’m not sure what’s worse. The parody “is it safe” threads or the real “is it safe” threads.
