15500ST plus some cash for 15400OR/15500OR?

Hi Guys, debating this trade - what do you think?

15500st blue plus some cash for a 15400or (blue) or 15500or (black dial/strap or bracelet).

I currently only own one other AP, the ROO Ghost.

Thanks,

It’s your decision, do you like gold? I thought I really wanted a gold AP and when I got it I realised that I hated people staring at my wrist. In the end I only wore the watch at weekends and eventually I sold it.

100% depends on your preferences. Some amount of cash would make the trade good value, but would still be a bad trade if you don’t enjoy the watch as much.

Amazing, I don't think anyone has ever started at any of my watches on my wrist - or maybe I'm just not very observant!

Chris you definitely carry off a gold AP very well, your summer edition always attracts a lot of attention because it looks so good. I became very conscious of mine and didn’t feel comfortable with it.

Tempting but I’d personally keep the blue 15500st

That trade, assuming the numbers work for you, is completely a matter of personal preference and lust level. Until you are certain I would hold and enjoy the great watch you already have.

The only ‘OR’ that has ever ‘done’ it for me is the 15202.

400 or 500 is the great debate here now, just choose whichever looks best on you, not much in it ofc, but blue dial would sway it.

I like my 15400or a lot, but the 15400st gets way, way more wrist time.

The OR only comes out on the weekends when I’m not bashing around with the kids or the dogs - which is not very often

If you want gold, then do the trade. The ST 15500 is solid.

That’s not really an upgrade.

I have been wearing the blue dial for 6 years and it’s time to switch gears. Plus I’m more into neutral colors and the slate grey dial is the ideal tone.

It depends if the RG sings to you. I will go for bracelet.

Ah, but you're biased, Ben!

It's true it does get attention when I go into ADs etc, but in normal life I've not noticed anyone look at it. That's not to say nobody has, but if they have I've not noticed. Actually there's one exception - the day I got it and I was travelling home on the tube from Bond St, as a chap sitting opposite me got up to leave the train he commented 'nice watch'.

Although being a 44 its quite big, as its on a rubber strap I don't think it's as noticeable as a full gold piece.

Sure, reasonable change for you... but not really an upgrade, per se. :-)

And then you’ll be like me with your handle... I moved on from my Rolex last year. :-)

I haven't started to do research on how much cash but I am slowly straying towards keeping what I have and enjoying it for a while. I constantly am bored....and with everyone loving the ST and my agreement that an ST would definitely get more wrist time than any OR model, I'm going to sit and wait until I can just add a RO full bracelet OR model (or a DD40) which will have to wait a few months.
