And believe me, Alan, he made a very wise choice with that exchange.

I chose the other way by getting a Seamaster GMT instead of an Explorer II.
(Of course, I already had a GMT Master II, so it seemed a good choice.)

Well, Frans, if I could have afforded to keep it, I probably would have. It sat well on my large wrists and I quite liked it.

However, being the two watch guy that I am, I decided...what the heck!! Rolex only from now on. And, as you know, TWO Rollies are better than just one Rolex and one of another.....as far as I'm concerned!!

He would be banned if he fixed the missing pics of that orange POS, clogz. He was forced to get rid of that thing after the rest of us nearly beat him to death with it.

Sorry for lousy photo. Spotted from AD window at the airport. 42mm with bracelet and 45,5 with orange leather strap. On the right original 300M black SMP.

Large version looked much better to my eye, again. Even that leather wasn't so bad to see live ;)

Interesting and helpful review JJ. Do you still have the same thoughts now, after another couple of months.

Daun,

I have owned at least 10 OMEGAs in my lifetime...including the famous Aqua Terra with a BLACK dial.

I have also owned at least 5 Longines, including the famous VHP Conquest with the Thermocompensated quartz movement.

With at least 30 years of wheeling and dealing under my belt, I have finally come to the ONE conclusion - ROLEX ONLY!!

+1 for Rollies.

I almost walked out of the jewler's with a Planet Ocean on my wrist. What changed my mind was when the watch's crown fell off as I was adjusting the time. I picked-up a Submariner instead and I'm very happy now.
