Not every individual selling a Rolex online is a crook - that is where you'll get the best prices and maybe even the better service.
Good luck.
Great input, thanks.
It's WatchClub with the 2015. I understand that part of the premium is for rent but I'm also looking for piece of mind.
I know enough about watches but not enough to be comfortable buying from a private seller.

I also want an unworn watch - just my personal preference

Awesome

Just didn't explain it very well in the first place.

No photos I'm afraid.
When it came down to it, I resolved that I'm not paying nearly an 80% premium to line the pockets of a grey dealer and help to bump up the price of the market. If Rolex and my AD want my money, they'll have to wait for it - and I'll have to wait for the watch too.

To satisfy my GMT cravings I bought a Tudor GMT at my AD over the weekend and I'm very impressed/happy with my purchase.
She made a very interesting comment on the BLNR too (throwing some fuel on fire of the "discontinued" rumour) - a new movement for next year.

I'm still on the list for the BLNR.....someday I'll have Batman on my wrist to match my car

Congrats on the Tudor. I’m curious did you buy this within the last 2 days. I only ask because if they were trying to mark up the Batman even more than it was. Could it be because of all the rumors of it being pullled by rolex ? Or was it in the normal 11-12,000 range for the watch

London Batmans haven't increased as much as they seem to have in the US.
Big grey chains £11k, grey dealers £10k

The way I read it, you missed the opportunity to buy BLNR for $1K over MSRP before discontinuation of the watch brake lose.

There IS one difference i have not seen mentioned in this thread between 2015 and earlier BLNRs. Inside the clasp, the older watches have a rough texture. Sometime in 2015, this changed to be a smooth texture. Not that this adds any inherent value, but worth noting nonetheless. Personally, i like the rough texture as I think it looks a bit better.

How do you figure?

£7k vs £10k?

I would love a textured inside of the clasp. Any pics to share of it?

Fresh off the BLNR’s natural habitat (a plane) just touched down at LAX. Snapped a quick shot for your easy reference.

Ah yeah, that is cool! I thought you meant the inside part that sits against the wrist. Thanks for sharing. Nice piece!

I didn’t know this either, I got my BLNR at launch, not had any issues but as mine is approaching a service, is it likely this component would be updated as part of the full service?

Yes that is standard practice. All old style springs and GMT wheels will be updated during service.
