Found 16600 to purchase

This is my first Rolex purchase. Been looking on the forums for some time trying to find a tritium Sea Dweller 16600, but haven't had luck.

Found one at Swiss Watch Expo that I like and looks to be in great condition (searched the forums and found some mention of them, but nothing damning and mostly positive).

http://www.swisswatchexpo.com/watche...ens-16600-9648

It looks like it's missing a link from the photo, but most else looks good. The case photo, on the back looks weird though -- what is the black marker spot and penciled numbers/letters?

Anything else a more experienced eye pickup as problematic?

Thanks!

I've been in their shop before and to be honest, I would not deal with them. There are far better dealers to work with in my humble opinion on this site.

Hi anytechie,

I have a 1999 SD 16600 (with box and papers) that's available for sale. The first Rolex I ever bought actually.
Those tricky US import laws may be a problem for you but it's here if you're interested.

I don't know that dealer, so do your homework, but I actually think it's a decent example. You should ask for natural-light photos. Hard to tell if there's any patina with the way they've lit the watch. You'd have seven days to return it if you didn't like it, according to the site, and it comes with a one-year warranty. An all-tritium SD in good shape is not easy to find nowadays. Took me a long time to find this example. Good luck either way!
