Datejust out of sync

Hi I am new to this forum and in a bit of a panic.
I have a 35 year old Datejust which I bought a year ago. Up to now it has been reliable and keeps excellent time gaining around four seconds in 24 hours.
Recently I have noticed the second hand and minute hand have come out of sync. ie. Set the both up to be correct and within a few minutes the minute hand has gained 30 sec. When the second hand is on twelve the minute hand is now between the minute marks. i thought this could not happen. Help please.
