Omega - best gray market dealer(s)

Hi everyone,
As the title states, who are the major players in the Omega gray game? In the Rolex world the major player is David SW, but I have no clue about the Omega world. I was on the David SW site, and he some Omega's but not a huge selection. Any ideas?

Thank you!

I wonder if this is the same Serge I bought my Omega from when he was working at the boutique on Michigan Ave. If so, stellar guy!

I've bought two Omegas from Rob at Topper Fine Jewelers, a sponsor over at another Forum. Both were good experiences.

Another vote for Chitownwatch. Just got a DSOTM from him, box, papers, warranty. Very happy with him.

There are plenty of terrific TS's here on the forum that buy and sell Omegas. I got mine not long ago from one and it went great and the price was even better. Check out the classifieds before you go elsewhere. I bought from gabagcaoili95 and he was first rate all the way.

Another vote for Toppers-- especially their select pre owned specials-- really incredible deals if they have a model you like.

Good thread. Interestingly (or not), I made an offer of $3,750 for a blue SMPc on bracelet from a poster here with a good grey market business. I was surprised to not even get a counter offer. I ended up spending $4,320 for it (no tax) at an AD with bracelet and rubber strap. Good deal but not a great deal.

I have bought many Omega from Takuya and they always ship directly from a USA AD dealer, he is great to deal with!

I got my speedmaster pro from Jomashop. I would definitely recommend them! (the price was unreal). And before we go down this route, it was all original, worked fine, and it came in the jumbo omega box with the loupe, two additional straps, two books about space exploration etc.

Same here, I second Jomashop. I even took mine to a omega boutique to have mine sized and it passed the "real omega test."

Just be aware if you buy at Jomashop you void the manufacturer warranty, in fact you don't even get the Omega warranty card at all. This causes two problems, #1 if you have a problem you will have to use Jomashop's third party service center and they do NOT cover water-related damage, and #2 if you go to sell your watch it will significantly affect the price you are able to get.

I got burned by them on a Seiko I got a couple years ago. Crystal fogged up from water getting inside and no coverage for repairs. Seiko would have covered if I had bought from an AD. Jomashop has great prices, just be aware of the pitfalls.

I have now used Alan Furman successfully twice. The first time on a Speedy sapphire sandwich in 2007. The second just recently on a Speedy Moonwatch. Both times were competitively priced and brand new authentic watches with great service. The Moonwatch came in the goody box with all the bits including the warranty and picto card from an AD out west. On the off chance I have problems in two years, not likely. I could get the watch entirely serviced twice for what I saved if the warranty doesn't end up working.

No way I would buy any watch more than a $1000 from jomashop since you don’t get the manufacturer warranty and papers.
Plenty of good discounts to get from gray and Non-boutique ADs. In fact for some
Models the delta between AD and gray is quite small

Jomashop saved me 2k off msrp on a new big box Saphire sandwich still in plastic. The omega service is $750 for a speedy. Seems worth it to me and I’ll get a new factory warranty with the service. Likelyhood of having a problem is slim.

I vote for Greg aka Mosco on here, from Caliber Swiss. I just recently purchased my second Omega from him.

Around 30% should be attainable on most, maybe a little less for a limited production models.

I hear ya. Their prices for brand new watches are amazing. If you are buying a watch to keep forever it's not an issue. If you go to sell it you will have to knock probably 20% off your asking price if it doesn't come with the original signed warranty card from the AD.
