Omega Speedmaster master, which one?

I’m looking to purchase a new Speedmaster, I’m trying to decide whether I go with the hesalite or the sapphire crystal?
Any recommendations, suggestions?

I have the hesalite crystal and really like it. It's the closest you'll get to the watch used in space.

Sapphire sandwich, I prefer to see the movement working.

I prefer the Hesalite crystal. There is a warmth that sapphire can't match. Order a tube of Polywatch so that you can polish it (seldom needed, but you'll appreciate the improvement afterward).

I prefer the sapphire crystal and the automatic movement. Exhibition case back and no constant winding. Both are nice watches and it is a matter of personal choice.

This one!!! Sapphire front and back, date, master chronometer, 60h power reserve, time zone function, column wheel, vertical clutch, superb attention to detail on the dial and nice decorations on the movement.

Hesilite just makes the dial more warm, almost a charcoal gray effect. Plus the dome created by the hesilite looks more vintage. If you are going to own one, go hesilite.

When I saw them both in store the hesalite definitely looked better. I can deal with the fact that it does scratch more for the simple fact it’s the true speedmaster. Nothing some Poly can’t buff out. I purchased the hesalite, should be receiving it next week!

Awesome, enjoy it. I mean I find that it does not get scuffed often at all and even a full replacement would be cheap. It’s basically like a modern vintage watch in many ways and it has surpassed my Daytona and sub with regard to wrist time.

Congratulations! You cannot go wrong with the hesalite, I love mine and you are correct - polywatch can take out most anything. Cannot wait to see the incoming!

Good decision - hesalite is great, it’s hard to put into words but it just gives the watch so much more warmth and character IMO

Just about to order the hesalite version next week. Absolutely in love with the Moon watch in 42mm.

Anyone know of any good deals as i missed out on one for $3380 shipped from Jomashop a few weeks back.

Best choice! Mine delivered this week. Grabbed mine on Chrono for $3800 brand new. All extras and everything included. No issues . Love it

Hesilite. Most consistent with the original, and gives the dial a warm almost charcoal gray look. The domed crystal looks very vintage. Look at both, but not just in jewelry store lights. They do give off different looks.

But if Im going moon watch, Im going as classic as possoble. Most people have plenty of sapphire crystals in their collection. In the event it gets a scratch, its easily buffed out and something massive, easily and cheaply replaced.

From one super to another, in my case yes, one and only. Why not go true to the original? Hesalite is the original. Yes it gets scratches but easy buff with polywatch and cheaper to replace

Super easy to fix.

But scratches give character. And the classic speedy is immediate respect imho.

Go classic. You simply can’t go wrong.
