Fair value issue with Chronext watch buyers

I have for sale a beautiful Rolex Sky-Dweller 326238 which is new and unworn
with all factory protective stickers intact ....but old stock
Retail is $38,150 + Tax....and although new, because it is old stock
I was only asking $24k...which is less than used ones are trading for.

I saw Chronext is buying Rolex watches and thought to give them a try
by filling out their on line questionnaire so they can offer a fair value for my Sky

Their man responsible for the acquisition was a fellow Greek by the name
of ... PANAGIOTIS KOKKINOS

After he received my true description HE made an offer of $16,000 ??
I guess this was Chronext way to say.... we do not want to buy your watch.. unless
we are able to - steal - it from you.

My advice to you is ....AVOID THESE JOKES

I sold an Omega PO 2500 a couple of years back, obviously for far less than the amount you’re dealing in OP. They offered a quarter of its market value and a third of the amount I managed to sell it to another large reseller for. This was in the U.K. so I would surmise that extreme low-balling in the hope of catching a sucker is part of their M.O.

Wouldn’t go near those guys again. Scummy behaviour.

But when one observes company guidelines ..?
