My “new” vintage Tudor
Being stuck at home recovering from a fractured pelvis I resorted to a bit of retail therapy and set myself the task to find a 1968 dress watch. I came across this nice Tudor, hallmarked Edinburgh 1968. (Having scratched that itch I waiting for delivery of a 1029’s Rolex for the Mrs!)

Great looking watch! I think what you have though is a 1950's 9ct dress watch
based on that movement. Dial IMHO has been refinished as should be a rose dial, quite often these also carry the name Royal below the rose and Tudor name. R |

Thanks. I’ve seen photos of the same mechanism listed on the ranff.de from 1965 and the hallmarks on the case I’ve had confirmed as Edinburgh 1968. I know Tudor changed from the rose to the shield in 1968/69 and this date ties in with the history I got from the seller. Either way the hallmarks and the price paid I’m content with |
