Opinions on this 1675...
Hey guys, I would appreciate opinions on this 1675 GMT. I may accept it in a trade, but before I do, would like some opinions from you vintage guys. By all means, feel free to pipe up with any info and opinions on the insert, crystal, case, bracelet, dial and hands. Or any other observations you may have.
The owner bought it new from an AD in 1974 or 1975, He's not sure. He also has the original outer and inner boxes and some of the manuals. I did not remove the bracelet to see the serial number. Thanks in advance for any help! here are some pics I took. Sorry for crappy iPhone pics. To be a second watch owner of this beauty...
Yuuum! Need I say more? Do your due diligence with serial number, riveted bracelet ref numbers, etc. Very nice Mk-2 dial.. |

Mitch it looks very nice. As TTG mentioned, check serial etc. It's been polished, insert looks great, bracelet looks rough but MY can fix it right up. Depending on price I'd be all over it.

1675
Well, I went and did it...I made the trade for the 1675. It is actually keeping great time so far. I am going to put it on the time grapher later today. It is a 2,977,XXX serial that puts it at what...1971. C&I folded and riveted bracelet says 76'. That makes sense, the owner remembers buying it in 1976.
It has been sitting in the safe for the last 20 years. I would say its service time. In any case, here's a few more pics. IMG_1340.jpg IMG_1370.jpg

Great score! I have a mint 1,988,XXX 1675 GMT but the bracelet says '79. Does that mean the bracelet has been replaced and not original?

It could mean it was replaced, or that the watch was sold as new in 79. More than likely a replacement bracelet...what say the experts?

Disregard, I was looking at the end links. The clasp is stamped 1 69 so I guess it is all original.

lovely 1675 ... my one owner b/P 1675 says 'Hi'. Is that a 7206 bracelet? I just sent mine with less stretch to Michael Young in HK. Well worth you considering doing the same in time.
It's a beauty! Wear in good health. |

The 1675 with a Jubilee Bracelet is by far the most comfortable watch I own!
