Box and Papers - How important for an AP15300?

How important are box and papers if I’m looking at an AP15300?

Sorry for the newbie question.

I own Patek (which I’d only buy with b&p) and vintage Rolex (which I’m Happy to own without b&p). I know how I’d feel about about buying a new AP piece, but I’m not sure where the AP15300 sits in the new vs vintage/discontinued B&P debate.
Any views would be appreciated

Yes, any Haute watch I'd only get with a full set.

I generally prefer complete sets as they are easier to move on if need be. But if the price is right and the condition is excellent AND you trust the seller then sure.

Critical, especially without a current service center letter / receipt w matching watch data.

Thank you everybody. I appreciate the feedback. I have found out the ap is fully serviced this year so there is paperwork corresponding to ap and the serial numbers. Still Not original papers, but some provenance

That would lead me to considering the piece. I’d want a discount for the missing items. The box can be had for $500-1500 depending on availability. The papers are “priceless” - and would warrant another $500-1000 off market for a similar piece. The big ticket is watch condition. How’s the bezel?

I’d be looking for a full set unless it’s a significant discount and one that would make you whole if you were to sell.

Personally, this is how I would gauge it as well

Id be more concerned with the case and bracelet as the bezel is fairly painless to replace in comparison.

I believe you can send the watch in to AP and they will authenticate and send papers...be careful

You should be able to get an extract from the archives? Does AP do that?
