Anyone on Oahu? Need urgent help please. Sad day for Magnum PI fans

I have sad news for the Magnum PI fans under us:

It seems, that "Robin's nest", real name Pahonu is to be taken down or has been demolished already.
I am feeling very sad, just like I have lost a good friend.

I am a longtime fan and wish, that I would have something from the main building as a souvenir.

I am thinking of an original wall brick (the roof has just been redone some years ago).

Is there anyone willing to help me by driving down, maybe giving a worker a 10$ bill and ask for a wall brick?
I'll certainly cover all expenses.

The address is:
41-505 Kalanianaole Highway
It’s next to Waimanalo beach park.

Thank you very much in advance!

Find out who the construction company that is doing the demo on the project and see if you can get someone there to help you out.

$10 about gets you a cup of coffee these days so you might want to pony up a "C" note and pay the shipping charges too. If you are lucky you might get a sign or something more memorable than a brick. Aim High and ask for something Cool! GOOD LUCK!

I have some extra bricks left over from a BBQ pit build last summer. They come with a letter of authenticity as well. Just send my your money and they're yours.

I have some authentic Magnum PI Hawaiian beach sand I would be willing to part with, if the price is right.

It it original magnum or reboot magnum sand? That is going to affect the value.

It’s vintage. Unpolished, of course.

DAH!..da da da da da DAH! da da da da da DAH!..da da da da da DAAAH! DAAAH! DAH!..da da da da da....

If there's such a thing as a TV Theme Song Hall of Fame, it's gotta be right there alongside Hawaii Five-O and The Rockford Files.

I do believe they could re-create a Magnumesque type of character (not doing Magnum himself, but rather through a bastard child or relative etc) and buddies to make that part work, but how on earth could they do another/replace Higgins? It would be like Seinfeld not having George. Higgins and George are more counterparts (H as the exasperated father and George as Jerry's idiot teenage son) to the central characters rather than mere sidekicks.

Just coming back to this old thread.

Someone contacted me in April and picked up these from the Pahonu site for me:

Yes, that's the decorative "ball" on the Pahonu balcony railing.

The other must be one of the window-keepers

I have also managed to save these:

(from the amount of tarnishing, I assume that these have been mounted somewhere outside)

and 2 bricks:

Thanks go out to the incredible guy who helped me!

Well Done! It's a great thing to get a memento of something that is special to you, particularly when it would otherwise just be dumped.
Is there a story about how you managed to obtain them or is that "commercial-in-confidence".

Thank you for the pics. Great souvenirs. The pic/still of the ball on the veranda is very interesting to see. Well done.
