Omega seamaster diver 2153.80.00 18k

Just curious if $7000.00 is a reasonable going rate for this watch ?

Can't find any recent sales.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank You in advance.

I've never seen one for sale, but given the original retail was probably 20k+, that price would be in the ballpark, I think. The bezel insert would affect the value, because Omega won't sell these without the bezel, which for a gold watch would be very costly.

Maybe it's the pic-looks sort of rough.

I want to buy this watch, but I also want to buy a chain.
What should I do?

There are a couple for sale on chrono24.
They are asking more. But they are not sold either.
And the one you have pictured has a decent amount of wear for a modern watch.

Here is a link for Chrono24.

i think if you could negotiate it down a bit it should be reasonable. It should be around 2.5/3x its stainless steel counterparts.....and you also have to shell out for a proper servicing...maybe they need to change the insert or maybe the whole bezel!

Ya exactly. I was wondering about servicing it as well and the cost. They are pretty firm on the price. I don’t know the going rate of a new bezel, but I can only imagine.

It looks like the watch has some wear and without a service history I would probably pass. Contact a few Trusted Sellers and see what they would give you on a cash out or trade. Let the information guide you.

Most of the ones I have seen for sale run in the 10 to 12 thousand range. Some have paperwork and some don’t. It seemed like a good deal, but you right, without knowing service history, I guess considering letting it pass is a stronger option. I just thought it seemed like a good deal considering it’s gold weight alone is around 177 Grams 18k

i that 177g total? or minus the weight of the crystal, movement etc ? makes a big difference.
