Looking for Advice on deal with TRF member

Hi All,

I am looking for advice. I was trying to complete a deal with a member here and found some discrepancies in the info they provided. Any insight would be helpful

1. Asked for a photo of the watch and got a scan
2. I believe the image sent to may may have been fake
3. Looks like there is a photoshop tool on the screen/paper...
4. Images look way too crisp to be a real ID
5. Sex listed as F instead of M

Please see the attached photos. Deal is for 6.5k. Real OH ID attached from google as well. Notice how the images are usually blended into the ID

Look at the date and the 5 DD-REF number, they are the same as the example one you pulled from the internet. He just changed the Height. Report to mods and run away!

Do they have a lot of posts? Maybe jacked. Reach out to Mods. not sure how you find them, but one is called Tools. Search and PM him

Edit: 95 posts! I wouldn't have engaged a seller on this. At least your wise to the potential scam, well done.

personally i would rather a person asked a question about a member first before posting an ID.... if the guy is legit (hypothetically) then his ID is in the public domain

if im having a transaction here and someone posted up my ID i would be pissed.

that said, run away

Good on you for spotting it before any potential shortcomings.

The ID linked above is a clear photoshop.

Unless he has the same ID number as Jane Doe, then highly unlikely. Although i do understand your point. The OP posted the pics together with the internet machine one.

Looks like a Russian KGB agent from an 80's film mind.

Aside from noted issues, there’s flawed language on the listing and the biggest flag, bigger than the Jane Doe ID(hard to believe), is the ridiculous low price.

this account has been suspended until the user can verify the original account.

Always ensure that you are dealing with the account holder and that you are comfortable with your potential transaction.

Hey Tyler,

I understand and was doing my best to not include any information that could be labeled as "Personally Identifiable". I did my best to only include the areas of the ID that I found to be questionable.

oh thats a totally fake ID. just saying sometimes its not that clear cut. Members do stuff like jumping right to posting PMs and all kinds of stuff right off the bat more often than you think. Not directed at you just saying because people read these threads and then get ideas for their issues

I tried contacting him recently.

My first msg to him were some due diligence questions. It went unanswered.

2nd msg to him, I asked if it was available, he answered.

I followed up with some due diligence questions, and he went silent. again.
