AP UK 10% Price Increase

Just looking on the Bucherer website and noticed that the prices had increased for all AP models. The AP website is not currently showing any prices so this must have happened in the last few hours.

dont forget UK prices include a 20% VAT as to europe prices.

US prices listed without tax and its added at time of purchase.

$19,200 in the US before you add tax, £15.5 in the UK with VAT backed out, so $18,700

19.2 US vs 18.7 UK in USD doesnt seem that bad apples to apples. tax rates vary so thats the retail price comparison between the two markets

Not great but not surprising. AP probably thinks of their P&L in either Euros or $s and the pound has been tanking. Excluding VAT, prior to this change, watches in the U.K. were nearly 10% less than Continental Europe

£23,700 for the ROC now? Maybe currency related but GBP has been a disaster for years now so I wouldn't be surprised if this is a test of the market depth and/or to create some sense of rising prices/hype.

Global prices unchanged otherwise I guess?

Yes not sure this is currency as it has been poor for a while, and waiting for the Brexit outcome first would have been the expected move as that could have a significant impact. I think this is more cashing in.

Actually, that's not unreasonable. The GBP has already tank by 10% vs CHF? It might get worse with Brexit.

Alas, the UK prices are now confirmed as increased, as per AP's site.

I am on a waitlist in the UK and received a note from the dealer last week informing me of price increase. The price increase was as of Monday August 19th 2019.

I remember the prices going up 2 weeks before my platinum offshore arrived, I couldn’t believe it, I’d ordered the watch in the February/March and it arrived 6 months later.
