6102P opinions?

Hi, I am new to this forum.
My AD showed and tried to sell me the 6102P. I do like how it looks, although a bit big on my wrist.
My friends are telling me not to buy it, so wanted to see your opinions.
Is this watch a very rare limited production? How will the value keep?

Thanks.

Not particularly rare and only buy it you intend to keep long term.

I dig it. Not in pics but in the metal pretty cool. Rose gold great as well.

Let me check into it. Just started with Patek, trying to build towards a 5078G black dial that came out this year.

The 6102P is a rare watch indeed. I have tried it on the wrist several times at ADs, but I have never actually purchased one. It is at a price level quite different from 99% of the Patek watch discussions here. (Besides it is not a Nautilus )

A forum member or two here have owned the previous 5102, which does not have the date.

Get it if you like the watch. If you purchase the watch from an AD, you should be or become a VIP and be able to get some other hard to obtain Patek watches.

It's a nice watch but big. Definately not rare as I saw it in the window of an AD in central London

Thanks, what would be a good discount on a watch as such?

Makes sense, I don’t have a Nautilus, would love to have one

I thought the 6102P was an application piece?

It is not, the application pieces we usually minute repeaters.
Wonder how the application pieces work, do you need a few pieces to apply?

I am NYC for the weekend, AD is saying 5370P is an application piece. Any ideas?
Not aware of this being application in Canada.

I'm skeptical how in demand these are. When I was a tire kicker with no purchase history a dealer offered me one, which I thought was bizarre for such a supposedly rare and desirable piece. Maybe the market has changed for it, but if you love it and have the means I'd get one....

Just because dealers have the 6102P in stock doesn't mean it's not rare. Every AD in the world could have one sitting in their showroom and that still means there are fewer than 500.

I like my steak rare and my watches well done. 5102 was better.

Salmon Nice! 6102p rare, I assume it a Hard mover if the AD keeps pushing it. Long term value, IMO, it’s gone to be a hard seller, hit or miss
