VC overseas bezel removal

I recently acquired a NOS first generation VC overseas and after who knows how many years in the safe, those blue plastics from the bracelet and case were really stubborn! While removing them, a little bit of remnants stayed back on the corners of the Maltese cross bezel :( Very tights spots!

I am wondering if anyone has any idea how to remove this bezel? I would take it to the VC service center but I am in Copenhagen right now, and we only have ADs here.

And yes, I know they are just tiny pieces but I am quite the opposite of those people who wear watches with plastics on. I absolutely can't stand them!

Did you try a wooden tooth pick or some dental flos?

I used to clean mine (exact same as yours) with a toothbrush. Worth a try. Congrats on the pickup!

Removing and mounting the bezel is not a DIY job. The bezel is pressed into position with a tool very similar to the ones used for a Rolex datejust.

Yes but the toothpick end cannot fit in there! Let alone I think I micro-scratched the brushed finish when trying ... (invisible to the naked eye, but visible with a loupe!)

I thought so. I may end up taking it to Klarlund. Or wait til i find myself near a service center.
