FP Journe Chronometre Souverain

Anyone have a Chronometre Souverain? I've kinda been oogling the rose gold, silver dial, blue hand version and seriously thinking about adding it to the collection.

Plenty of threads on this,
But to summarize , while I don’t own it (have a CB and octa auto lune), I’ve tried it on numerous times and it is glorious. Only reason I purchased the other two pieces over the CS is size. If you like and it fits, don’t hesitate- you won’t be disappointed

I’ve owned one. In the metal the rose gold is really red. Really. Red. And to me it wears bigger than the measurements.

Beautifully executed watch.

I have the model you’re referring to, but the 38mm version rather than the current 40mm version. I love it to bits as my only dressier piece, and wear it to work pretty frequently.

Unlike yessir69 I don’t find the gold to be all that in your face red, as compared to rose gold from AP, PP, or particularly Rolex that I’ve also handled. To be fair i haven’t compared them all side by side though.

Beautiful pic! 38mm size is just perfect for a average/smaller wrist IMO

Thanks! To be honest it felt a bit dainty at first. I have a Planet Ocean Chrono and 214270 that I’ve worn in for several years in rotation, and a 6.75” wrist. However the more I wear the CS, the more accustomed I get to the size. I could probably stack 3x CS in the POC A 40mm CS was a good fit too when I tried it on, but the bezel looks juuuust a bit too thick relative to the dial for me.

Having tried on many FPJs...

They are just beautiful in person. And the back of the watch may be prettier than the front.

I am on a waiting list for the Bleu. Wonder if it will happen.

Tim Mosso said they only produce about 110 per year.

That’s been reduced to around 50/year per FPJ

I wonder how much of that reduction is due to the dial manufacturing issues and how much is a calculated reduction for demand/exclusivity.

I’ve been told my someone at FPJ that it’s both - take it w a grain of salt - that FP doesn’t want the CB to be the “nautilus”
of his brand, and that he and his main dial-maker got into a fight and he fired him.

Regardless whether they are obtainable or not, I think the CB’s recent rapid rise in popularity/ desirability has served to bring attention to a small Indy brand and act as a gateway “drug”... certainly true for me . With unlimited funds I could see myself owning one of each in the catalog.
