Has anybody had an issue with the gold strip falling off of a two-tone ceramic sub oyster bracelet.
Any suggestions for repair?

I would take it to a Rolex dealer if it’s less than 5 years old, and/or send it to Rolex. I think Rolex will fix it for free if they don’t see any visible cause.

Soldering on to steel is very difficult. When you solder gold or silver the surface of each part melts slightly for a really good join.

Steel melts a lot hotter than gold so the solder doesn't really adhere properly to both surfaces. With a polished surface like this the job is even harder.

Any idea how Rolex actually attaches the two pieces together. This is what the underside of gold looked like when it came apart. I would not think Rolex would “glue.. epoxy” two metals together. Any ideas??

It looks like gold solder. In this instance a good strong epoxy on a scratched surface would probably be a better choice but it wouldn't be good PR.

The best solution would probably be a rivet.

jaysus that's scary, how did you notice it coming off, lucky you did catch it, it could have dropped on the ground and you wouldn't have known.

If an RSC does not correct this for free - it is a travesty.

Shoddy manufacturing from the Crown. Krazy-Glue really? I am sure the geniuses in their Geneva marketing department have cooked up a fancy name for it though - "non compos adhesív"

I’ve had 2 Bluesies. One 5 digit and now my Ceramic 6 digit .
I’ve never seen or heard of such a thing .
I was always under the impression that it was molded together
not soldered or glued on top of the steel clasp .
That is terrible, this is a job RSC should handle not anyone else
in my opinion ...

Is it still under warranty?

I roll a TT DJ41, I won't be worrying about this. Looks like the gold solder didn't flow right.

A fluke, I'm sure. Seems preeeeeety rare.

I’m guessing that the gold is soldered on in an oven to better control temp & even distribution. The solder here looks as though it did not melt properly.

Is this really an original bracelet. I was under the impression, that the middle piece of a genuine rolex bracelet is full gold, and not just a clasp smoldered onto the steel frame.

How does this look like with the regular links of the bracelet. Are they full solid gold in the middle or also just a clasp put on a steel frame.

If it were, I have to admit, I would truly be disappointed, as Rolex promotes the Rolesor bracelet to be manufactured in such incredible way.

Anybody who can tell the truth abouth the TT links?

The links in the bracelet are solid gold. The clasp is all steel (like the older ones) but now with the gold center piece, which is in fact soldered on. It does not go through to the inside.
