Breitling SuperOcean 38

I saw a SuperOcean 38 today and it looks really nice. Anyone here have any experience with Breitling? How is the reliability and accuracy?

Thanks

Breitling overall are very liable watches. All of its watches, I believe starting year 2000 are all COSC.

They are known for aviation watches since their dials are easy to read, but at the same time, to non-pilot users, some watches can be hard to read.

I have a Breitling myself, the Chrono Avenger at 44mm, Titanium. I like the non polished look on watches, however I am not sure if your taste are into shiny/polished look as opposed to brushed finish.

All Breitlings have AR coatings on both sides of the sapphire glass so there are pros and cons to that.

Good thing about Breitlings is that like Panerai's, you can use a variety of straps for it in addition to the Pro I, II, Pilot and figher bracelets. Gives it a fresh look to it.

Resale value on Breitlings aren't that good, which is a shame. If you plan to keep the Breitling for good, best to buy at an AD to avoid scams or a trusted grey dealer.

Note: COSC now a days is more of a marketing ploy since a lot of movements can be tuned to within COSC specs.

I had the same model some six months ago.It was COSC certificated and it was really accurate. It was even more accurate than my Rolex Explorer II!And it`s finish is really spectacular! If you like it and the price is good, you should go for it.It`s very good value for money, and don`t forget that Breitling is also(like Omega or even Rolex) a premium brand.
