Stunning captures, very artistically done, esp like the pics that show the Patek logo clearly, nice to know what brand you are wearing in a hurry.

The 5990 is fantastic but wearing a PP to a Rolex event is cheeky!

Good pics of both watches.

i told the Rolex UK marketing guy i would wear a Rolex if i could buy a Rolex. It seemed to have worked. My AD then checked with me to make sure i was staying in town this week, so he could call me

I was literally the only non rolex watch in there. lots of Daytona owners too, so even those watches are "around".

its strategy being the odd ball

I really want to try this reference on, before I spend 45k on a white Naut. I can come up with the difference. Also, these are not so scarce, as there's less buyers for them.

I agree, it's a beautiful watch.

It's just that I haven't had a Patek in 40+ years so I want to make sure I got it right in case I can't agree with it and need to flip it.

That's a very safe price, they are going for over £50K here.

i wouldn't put it in extremely flippable territory mainly due to the price point, but you are not going to lose money at retail if you change your mind. Worse case i suppose you could lose a little, like a percent or two.

That's a reasonable price to pay, if you had to sell you would only take a small hit, if any.

I know when I inquired with a few of our forum TSes, they were offering around 52-53K while selling for the mid 60s.

Huge buy/sell spreads at greys for these. WF UK was offering below MSRP when they were selling for £52.5!

Yeah, same for all Nauts but you can also go privately and do better, use the WF price as a guide.
